Woah! It's been a crazy couple of weeks. Lots fo fun on the weekends. Lots of work on the week days. I've never been a fan of classes and homework, but I am learning a lot. My favorite class is my Old Testament class. I was always the one to ask way too many questions during Sunday school, and in this class it's no different. I only have this professor for on semester so i'm going to milk all the knowledge out of him that I can.

This week has been quite stressful, but thanks to God and the friends he's provided me (particualrly Caleigh), every mini catastrophe has been cleaned up. My guitar stopped working this weekend while we were in North Carolina, so Caleigh took me to the music store to get it checked out. I'll be able to pick it up tomorrow and God willing, it will sound beautiful again. But, I have not been without a guitar :) Caleigh called up a friend who is allowing me to use his Martin for the week. Wow! what a beautiful guitar! It's amazing how God ca use a complete stranger to pour out His love on me.

The weekends have been AMAZING and we've been so blessed to stay in beautiful homes with beautiful families to match. This weekend we will be staying somewhere in North Carolina on the beach :D

I miss everyone and can't wait to visit in October! Thanks so much for your prayers! :D

Phew!

I'm sitting in my room, having a typical college dinner, microwavable soup and a coke :) I've been so busy that I completely forgot to read the cards that I got from my family at Heartland. Wow! What a blessing! It felt great to sit down with my soup, soda, and cards of prayers and encouragement. It's been a crazy and beautiful week. I've already learned to much and am completely overwhelmed with all the possibilities. God has shown me His power, mercy and sovereignty in an amazing way just in these past few days.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your act of worship. -Romans 12:1

This is the desire of my heart: to live completely for God and worship Him in all that I do. I pray that I will not take His gifts for granted and that I will only use them to further His kingdom.

So, the Snow Flex is AMAZING! The ministry teams got to check it out for free last night. It's a beautiful thing to go skiing/tubing when it's 80 degrees outside and be able to look out and see the beautiful Virginia mountains.

First Day

Wow! I'm a student at Liberty University! I would have never imagined this for myself and am anxious to see all the other amazing things that God has in store. Heartland, through you God has blessed me so much. As I was unpacking my things last night, I was so excited to get to use all the stuff I got at my surprise party. You guys rock! Thank you so much for all of your support.

"God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth" -John 4:24

This verse stuck out to me out of the many that I've heard today. When I was younger, I remember pastor Jon preaching that we should carry everything out as an act of worship to God. This means, not only on stage, but in my classes, in my dorm, in my homework, everything I do I must do as unto God. I pray that in everything, I will unceasingly worship God in spirit and in truth.
